Science & Faith. And Love.

I love these lyrics from The Script. To be honest, I love their whole Science & Faith album. The hook from the song “Science & Faith” kills me though.

Obviously it’s written about the love between a guy and girl but why couldn’t you use these words to define any relationship?

I mean, I love my wife like crazy.
I love my daughter.
I love my parents.
I love my grandparents.

If you’re reading this, there’s a good chance I love you too.

But I think these words really describe true, unabashed, unashamed, pure love.

You won’t find faith or hope down a telescope
You won’t find heart and soul in the stars
You can break everything down to chemicals
But you can’t explain a love like ours

That’s the same love I have for Jesus.

I can’t physically show it to you – I can’t. But it’s there.

After 27 years and 365 days, I’m still trying to figure out how to explain it. I think these words are a start.
